The Lost Kitten A2.2
A English drama story by Lily Bloom
Lily loved playing in her garden. It was full of colorful flowers and buzzing bees. One sunny afternoon, Lily was chasing butterflies. She giggled as they fluttered away. Suddenly, she heard a tiny meow. It was a small, fluffy kitten. It was hiding under a rose bush. Lily gently picked up the kitten. It was so small and soft. She named it Pip. Pip was very playful. He loved to chase string and pounce on toys. Lily and Pip became best friends. They played together every day. One day, Lily was playing with Pip in the garden. Pip was chasing a butterfly. He ran too far and got lost. Lily looked everywhere for him. She called his name, but he didn't answer. Lily was very worried. She ran into the house to tell her mom. Her mom helped her search for Pip. They looked in the garden, under the bushes, and even in the shed. They couldn't find him anywhere. Lily was very upset. She felt like crying. Her mom hugged her and told her they would find Pip. They searched again, calling Pip's name. They looked near the fence, around the trees, and behind the flowerpots. Then, they heard a faint meow. It was coming from under the old oak tree. Lily and her mom rushed over to the tree. There, curled up under a big root, was Pip. He was fast asleep. Lily gently picked him up. Pip opened his eyes and purred. Lily was so happy. She hugged Pip tightly. They went back into the house. Lily gave Pip a bowl of milk. He drank it quickly. Then, he curled up on Lily's lap and fell asleep again. Lily stroked his soft fur. She was so relieved to have him back. That night, Lily slept soundly with Pip by her side. She dreamt of playing with Pip in the garden. They chased butterflies and played hide-and-seek among the flowers. It was a happy dream. The next morning, Lily woke up to find Pip staring at her with big, bright eyes. Pip purred and rubbed against her cheek. Lily smiled. She knew that Pip would always be her best friend. They continued their adventures in the garden, always making sure to stay close to each other. Lily learned a valuable lesson that day about the importance of keeping a close eye on her beloved pet and the joy of being reunited with a lost friend. She made sure to keep Pip close from then on, always aware of his whereabouts. Their bond grew stronger with each passing day, a testament to their unwavering friendship. The garden continued to be their happy place, filled with laughter, games, and the unconditional love between a girl and her kitten. They spent many more sunny afternoons together, their friendship a constant source of joy and companionship.
