The Magic Garden B1.1

A fairy tale story by Emma Green

Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a girl named Lily. Lily was a curious girl who loved nature. Every day after school, she would explore the woods near her home. One sunny afternoon, while walking in the woods, she saw a beautiful butterfly. Its wings were bright blue and shimmered in the sunlight. Lily followed the butterfly deeper into the forest.

After a while, the butterfly led Lily to a hidden garden. This garden was unlike any she had ever seen. It was filled with colorful flowers, tall trees, and sparkling streams. The air smelled sweet, and the sun shined brightly on the flowers. Lily felt happy and excited. She wanted to explore every corner of this magical place.

As she walked through the garden, she noticed something strange. A little door was hidden behind a big rose bush. The door was small and made of wood, with beautiful carvings of flowers and animals. Lily’s heart raced with curiosity. She gently opened the door and stepped inside.

To her surprise, inside the door was a tiny world. She was now the same size as the little creatures that lived there! The animals were friendly and welcomed her. A wise old turtle named Oliver approached her. "Welcome, Lily! We have been waiting for you!" he said with a smile.

Lily was amazed. "Waiting for me? Why?" she asked.

Oliver explained, "This garden is special. It needs a protector, and we believe you can be that protector. You love nature and care for every living thing. Will you help us?"

Lily thought for a moment. She loved nature and wanted to help. "Yes! I will help you!" she replied with excitement.

Oliver guided Lily around the tiny world. He showed her the different animals and plants that lived in the garden. There were colorful birds singing sweet songs, rabbits playing in the grass, and even a family of deer drinking from the sparkling stream. Each animal told Lily about their lives and how the magic garden stayed beautiful because of their friendship.

One day, while exploring, Lily saw that some plants were wilting. She asked Oliver why this was happening. Oliver frowned and said, "There is a dark cloud over the garden. It brings sadness and takes away the garden's magic. We must find a way to make it disappear!"

Lily felt worried. "How can we make the dark cloud go away?" she asked.

Oliver replied, "We need to gather the magic flowers. They grow at the highest point of the garden. Only together can we bring back the magic."

Without wasting time, Lily and the animals set off on their adventure. They climbed hills and crossed streams, helping each other along the way. The animals worked together, and Lily felt proud to be part of this team.

After a long journey, they reached the highest point of the garden. There, they found the magic flowers. They were bright and beautiful, glowing with colors that Lily had never seen before. But there was one problem: the flowers were guarded by a giant, friendly dragon named Bella.

Bella looked at them and said, "To take the magic flowers, you must answer my riddle. If you answer correctly, you can take the flowers. If not, you must go back home."

Everyone listened carefully as Bella asked her riddle: "I have keys but open no locks. I have space but no room. I have a face but no eyes. What am I?"

Lily thought hard. She remembered her father’s old piano at home. "A piano!" she shouted. Bella smiled widely and said, "Correct! You are very clever, Lily. You can take the magic flowers."

Lily and her new friends collected the flowers and thanked Bella for her kindness. Together, they returned to the heart of the garden. Everyone gathered around as Lily placed the magic flowers in the center. The flowers began to glow brighter and brighter. Suddenly, the dark cloud started to fade away.

With a flash of light, the dark cloud disappeared, and the garden was filled with bright sunshine again. All the animals cheered and danced in happiness. Lily felt proud. She had helped save the magic garden.

From that day on, Lily visited the garden every day. She played with her animal friends and protected the garden with love. The garden became a place of joy and magic, and Lily knew she would always be its protector.

And so, the little girl and her friends lived happily ever after, surrounded by the beauty of the magic garden.

Lily learned that by working together and caring for nature, they could keep the magic alive forever.
