The Magic Garden A1.2

A fantasy story by Emma Green

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lily. Lily lived in a small village. The village was near a big forest. Every day, Lily played with her friends. They liked to run and laugh. But one day, Lily wanted to explore the forest. She wanted to find something special.

Lily walked into the forest. The trees were tall and green. Birds sang sweet songs. After a while, she saw a path. The path was covered with bright flowers. Lily followed the path. She felt happy and excited.

At the end of the path, she found a big gate. The gate was made of wood and had beautiful carvings. Lily pushed the gate, and it opened slowly. She stepped inside and gasped. It was a magic garden!

The garden was full of colorful flowers. There were red roses, blue daisies, and yellow sunflowers. Butterflies danced in the air. They were big and had shiny wings.

In the middle of the garden, there was a small pond. The water was clear like glass. Lily walked to the pond and saw her reflection. Suddenly, a little frog jumped on a lily pad. “Hello!” said the frog. “I am Freddy. Welcome to the magic garden!”

Lily was surprised. “Hello, Freddy! This garden is beautiful!”

Freddy smiled. “Thank you! This garden is special. It has magic. If you make a wish, it can come true!”

Lily thought about her wish. She wanted to help her village. The village sometimes had no water. She wanted to bring water to her friends and family. “I wish for water for my village!” she said.

Freddy clapped his little hands. “Great wish! Close your eyes and count to three!”

Lily closed her eyes and counted. “One, two, three!”

When she opened her eyes, she saw something amazing. A big cloud appeared above the garden. It rained colorful drops! The drops fell into the pond and made it bigger. Soon, the pond was full of water. The water flowed out of the garden and into the forest.

“Thank you, Freddy!” Lily shouted.

Freddy waved his tiny hands. “You are welcome! Now, your village will have water!”

Lily felt very happy. She ran back to the village. When she arrived, her friends were waiting for her. “Lily, where were you?” they asked.

“I found a magic garden!” she told them. “It has a frog named Freddy. He helped me!”

Her friends were curious. “Can we see the magic garden?” they asked.

Lily smiled. “Yes! Follow me!”

They all walked back to the forest. When they reached the garden, they could not believe their eyes. The flowers were even more colorful with the rain. The pond sparkled in the sunlight.

Freddy was still there. “Hello, friends!” he said. “Welcome to the magic garden!”

The children cheered. They loved the garden. They played with the butterflies and laughed together. Freddy showed them how to make wishes too.

One friend, Max, wished for a big treehouse. Another friend, Sara, wished for a swing. They all closed their eyes and counted to three.

When they opened their eyes, the treehouse was in a big tree. The swing was hanging from a strong branch. Everyone was excited! They played all day in the magic garden.

As the sun began to set, Lily said, “We must go home now. But we can come back tomorrow!”

Freddy nodded. “Yes, you are always welcome here!”

The children waved goodbye and walked back to their village. They felt happy and lucky. The magic garden was their secret place. They promised to return every day.

From that day on, the village had plenty of water. The flowers grew, and the trees were green. Lily and her friends learned about friendship and wishes. They knew that together, they could make magic happen.

And so, they lived happily ever after, always remembering the magic garden and their special friend, Freddy the frog.
